If you want to get into HEMA but have no experience and aren't sure where to start, we invite you to come join our Beginner's Course - a 3-class series that will bring you through the basics of Longsword (two-handed) fencing in the German school, with a heavy emphasis on safety and consent.

You will:

• Learn how to properly hold a sword, and the different guards therein

• Learn the basics of cutting and thrusting

• Engage in competitive games to hone your abilities

• Join a wonderful community of supportive sword scholars

Enrollment in the course is $100, and all beginner students will receive their own fencing mask on the first night of classes.

Attendance for all 3 sessions is mandatory for completion of the course. Once completed you will be invited to join our regular Thursday night classes and Monday and Saturday study halls and free spar time.
